![]() However, wanting to have them witness his triumph, Scrappy invites all of them to Spooky Island, unaware that the gang had recently parted ways following tempers boiling over between Fred, Daphne, and Velma following the Luna Ghost mystery. All part of a plan to use the Darkopolypse Ritual to allow the Demons to rule the Earth for 10,000 years and take revenge on Mystery Incorporated. Using a robotic double of Mondavarious to impersonate him and aided by henchmen such as N' Goo Tuana and the masked luchador Zarkos, Scrappy invites collage students to Spooky Island, where he captures them, extracts their protoplasmic souls, and has the Demons possess their bodies. However, once he has met the owner, Emile Mondavarious, Scrappy is able to capture Mondavarious and imprison him in a small holding cell in the main ritual chamber of the Darkopolypse Ritual on top of Mt. Scrappy-Doo (Raja Gosnell films) (cult leader)Īfter being kicked out of Mystery Incorporated for his power-hungry behavior and constantly urinating on Daphne, Scrappy-Doo, seeking revenge on them, arrives on Spooky Island initially under the surmise of auditioning for a role there. This is one of the best moments in the film, as we see a massive character development in Daphne, who is no longer the girl who gets captured. Daphne: “Now who’s the damsel in distress?” Shaggy just says what we’re all thinking in times of stress. Shaggy: “This is like the opposite of what I wanted to do today.” OFC she looses her glasses at the most important part of the movie and it’s just an iconic line for our fave crime-solving brain, Velma. I had to chuck this one in for nostalgia’s sake. ![]() He did not need to read Daphne’s outfit to filth!!! 9. I really wished that there were more scenes between Daphne and the Voodoo Maestro because their whole interaction is unforgettable. Voodoo Maestro: “Here’s a clue: Purple is a fall colour. ![]() (AND QUICK SPOILER!!!) Obviously, she was possessed by the monster creature things, but it’s just the random slang that cracks me up. Ugh, these days I wish I could do this IRL to guys that annoy the hell outta me but as a kid this interaction really caught me off guard. Possessed College Kid: “Back off my grill, son!” We love a good moment when a character does a ‘rawr’ in the scene! I also never realised that Mr Bean was in this movie, but his little “rawr xD” was adorable. Mondavarious: “I can be pretty spooky when called upon, I can go rawr, rawr, claws, rawrrawrrawr.” When I discovered the joke behind this scene, the movie just got 100% more funnier. Shaggy: “Like, that’s my favourite name.” ![]() ![]() Also she’s just so iconic that even her luggage matches her ‘fit. It’s definitely one of the moments in Scooby-Doo that we get cartoon Daphne Blake, as the live-action version is completely different to the classic one. I love the sass that Daphne has in this scene, it’s just so her. Daphne: “What do you mean I can’t have seven carry-on bags? That’s like, so economy.” I love how this one just kinda slips in there. Again, I was way too young to understand jokes in this film but this one just cracks me way up now that I’m a lot older. ![]()
